September 11: THE STORY OF JESUS

Many people think the Bible is just a religious textbook, but what if it's the story that makes sense of everything? How should we read the Bible, and is it trustworthy?
SEPTEMBER 18: THE BEGINNING
Something went wrong in God's good world, and we still feel the effects today. Is there hope for humanity, or are we a lost cause?

If God is all-good and all-powerful, then why is there evil in the world? This question has caused confusion and heartache for millennia.

We can't save ourselves by trying to work our way to God. Instead, God came down to us. Who is Jesus, and how is He the Savior that we need?

Jesus is like a lion, conquering over sin and death. He's also like a lamb, covering over our shame with His sacrifice.
Jesus came to give you a future that's bigger than your past. Because Jesus rose, we also can be raised to new life.
OCTOBER 23: WALKING IN THE WAY

Following Jesus is more than just believing the right things about Him. It also means living by His teachings, and joining with others who are doing the same.

The Bible isn't just a bunch of rules, but it does have many commands and teachings. What is the purpose of these laws, and how do we discern right and wrong without judging others?
NOVEMBER 6: REST FOR THE RESTLESS

It can be hard to stay healthy in a culture of hurry. Sometimes we just need to stop. God has given us a wonderful way to reset the pace of our lives and recenter on Him. It's called Sabbath.

NOVEMBER 13: UNTIL WE WAKE

Death is a mystery and a fear for many people. For those in Jesus, death isn't the end of the story. It's just the end of a chapter.

CAPSTONE WEEKEND
Our series will end with two days of presentations that will conclude the 'Better Story' journey. Dinner will be provided at 6:00 PM before the Friday evening and Saturday evening meetings.

NOVEMBER 14: ALL THINGS NEW

How does the story of Scripture end? Not on clouds with harps, but in a world made new. One day soon, evil will be no more and joy will flourish forever. (Spoiler alert: This is the best part of the story.)

NOVEMBER 15: I Am Coming Soon
10:00 AM

Jesus is coming back, and this changes how we live today. His return should fill us with hope and expectation.

NOVEMBER 15: You Are With me
11:15 AM

Hard times will come in life. Peace is not the absence of problems; it's the presence of Jesus.

NOVEMBER 15: Your Role in the Story

If you belong to Jesus, you become part of His story. The Church is commissioned to give the world a taste of God's coming future.
