WELCOMING

HOSPITALITY AS A WAY OF LIFE

Welcoming others is commanded several times in Scripture because it is at the very center of who God is. The God who welcomed humanity into Eden continued to extend His welcome through the people of Israel. Jesus would later come with the hospitality of Heaven, welcoming all into the family of God (John 1:12).

Practicing hospitality is a way to represent God's character to others—not as One who is distant and isolated, but One who is warm and inviting.
